GETTING TO PADOVA​

  • by air
    Venice Marco Polo Airport 

    Is the nearest airport to Padova. It has daily flights to/from most European cities. It is connected with Padova city centre with a shuttle bus service by FSBusitalia. For more details and timetable click here 
    Should you prefer to book a private shuttle, AirService is available to arrange such a service.
    It costs about 35 Euros and has to be booked in advance. Please check the website for rates and online reservation.

    The other closest airport is Venice Treviso airport (~56km), located in Treviso. Like the main Venice Airport, it has daily flights to and from most European cities and it is connected to Padova through the Bus 101.   • by train
    Padova railway station is connected with the major Italian cities. Verona is reached in 50 minutes, Milan in 2h and Bologna in 1h. For information and timetable please visit the following links, Trenitalia Website or Italo Website
    In front of Padova railway station there are the taxi ranks and the city bus stops.

  • by car
    Padova  is  connected  with  the  Italian  motorway  net  as follows:

    Milano-Venezia Motorway (A4) 
    from Venice: exit “Padova Est”
    from Milan: exit “Padova Ovest”

    Bologna-Padova Motorway (A13)
    from Bologna: exit “Padova Sud”

GETTING AROUND PADOVA​

  • by taxi
    Taxis can be found in front of the Railway Station or call 0039 049 651333 - www.taxipadova.it/home-eng/

     

  • by tram or by bus - public transport APS
    The tickets for the APS buses (local buses) and tram are available at the APS office outside the railway station, at the ticket machine outside the railway station and at most tobacconist shops in town.

  • by car
    Drivers should pay attention to posted signs and be careful not to enter areas of limited traffic, which are marked by signs "ZTL", in Padova these zones are controlled by video cameras. If your hotel is located in the "ZTL", make sure about the regulations with the hotel directly.
     
     

  • Padova CARD
    It is a 2-day or 3-day card that let visit the most important museums in Padova, such as the famous “Cappella degli Scrovegni”, use the public transport and get some reductions at restaurants, shops, etc.
